~ Endocrinology
^ Prerequisites: one year of chemistry and three
^ semesters of biology including animal, human,
^ or cell physiology.
An advanced physiology course with focus on the cellular
mechanisms underlying hormone action. Topics covered
include the biosynthesis of hormones, their interaction with
receptors, the subsequent signal transduction pathway, their
psychological effects and the regulation of their secretion.
Scheduled alternate fall terms. 3 credits.
