ESC 210 - Principles of Astronomy
~ Principles of Astronomy ^ Prerequisites: MAT 108 or higher and PHY 200 or 210 or ^ higher. ^ Special Info: Lab Fee Required A survey of modern astronomy addressing topics ranging from Earth's time of day to the Solar System, stars, and the galaxies, and orgin and evolution of the universe. Exploration of the philosophical and societal interaction with the scientific understanding of the universe. Telescope observing sessions are included. Lecture 3 hours. Lab 2 hours. 4 credits.
