ESC 350 - Structural Geology & Tectonics
~ Structural Geology and Tectonics ^ Prerequisite: C or better in ESC 201 and ESC 311 ^ Special Info: Lab Fee Required. Orientation, measurement descriptions and analysis of planar and linear structures in rocks, including folds, faults, and fabrics. Basic concepts of strain and stress and the behavior of earth materials during deformation, linked to regional and global tectonics. Introduction to mapping, collection of structural data and contruction of geological maps and cross-sections. 4 credits.
